1899 Black Eagle United States Silver Certificate Fr 226a Sharp High Grade XF

Up for sale is a gorgeous, crisp and original 1899 Black Eagle Silver Certificate. This is the much tougher first signature combo of Lyons-Roberts. This has the date below the serial number making it an Fr 226a. This is one of the most beautiful and iconic notes ever printed by the United States. These early Lyons-Roberts signed notes are tough to find high grade like this.
The note grades Choice XF in my opinion, would probably come back around a 45EPQ I would think. Looks as crisp and fresh as the day it was printed with fantastic paper and inking. Pack fresh with the exception of the typical tri-fold of having been in a wallet one time. You can tell the paper is original and unpressed. The reverse also has an October 6, 1903 bank stamp giving the note wonderful character. This is one of the sharpest, most eye appealing Black Eagles I have had. But please check scans and judge grade for yourself. Friedberg has this better variety at 5 in XF. Thanks for looking and have a great day!
