EXTRA finely woven basketry mask from the Panama rain forest. A wonderful form with super fine detailed geometric design, and a great gift for yourself or a loved one. Made of the shoots of the chunga palm leaf and colored with natural / vegetal dyes and produced by the tribes that we believe produce the finest baskets made in the world today...These were initially a UNESCO project in the early 1970s designed to give the tribe an avenue of income as well as self expression and tribal pride...they eventually outdid themselves and a few weavers go above and beyond and produced works of art. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL and it has a LOW PRICE too !
