Results:
Negative:
Two distinct colored lines appear. One colored line should be in the control line region (C), and another colored line should be in the test line region (T).
Positive:
One colored line appears in the control region (C). No line appears in the test line region (T).
INVALID:
Control line (C) fails to appear. Insufficient specimen volume or incorrect procedural techniques are the most likely reasons for the control line failure. Review the procedure and repeat the test using a new test.
Additional Information:
"Spice" refers to a wide variety of herbal mixtures that produce experiences similar to marijuana (cannabis) and are marketed as "safe," legal alternatives to the drug. It is sold under many names, including K2, fake weed, Yucatan Fire, Skunk, Moon Rocks and others — and labeled "not for human consumption." These products contain dry, shredded plant material and chemical additives that are responsible for the psychoactive (mind-altering) effects. Spice products are popular among young people. Of the illicit drugs most used by high-school seniors, synthetic marijuana is second only to authentic marijuana. The drug is more popular among boys than girls — in 2012, nearly twice as many male 12th graders reported past-year use of synthetic marijuana as females in the same age group. Easy access and the misconception about Spice products to be “natural” (and therefore harmless) have likely contributed to the drugs popularity.
Note: This test is for Employment, Insurance and Forensic use only.
The designation of “for forensic use only” means that the substance abuse test is not FDA 510k Cleared. These types of tests are successfully used by law enforcement, correction and probation departments. This product is not intended to be used in the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease or illness.
